Position Overview: As Manager, Product Strategy, you will play a central rolein supporting the PLC and Product Teams, including performing regulardiagnostic portfolio analysis and supporting product deep dives (Product ReviewMeetings) to identify risks and opportunities in our product plans. You willalso coordinate with multiple Product teams to collect the right data, helpingset priorities coming out of these deep dives, and assisting strategicallocation of TELUS’ capital investment in products through a mix of strategicplanning, financial and customer analytics, and execution support. The right candidate will love data and strategic analysisand bring expertise in using data to assess current performance, identifytrends and strategic opportunities to improve product management. The candidatewill also combine analysis, research and strategy development experience to prioritizecapital investment across the product portfolio, help create high levelbusiness cases and work with product-stakeholders across business units toensure effective execution of TELUS Health’s product strategy.  What YOU Get to Do… Responsibilities: Initiate and setup a process to track product performance across the portfolio building on existing portfolio analysis with a focus on measuring return on investment (ROI) across the project life cycle, particularly when planning a portfolio or annual budget and again when reviewing formal approval requests Establish a set of product KPIs at the portfolio and product levels and conduct financial and strategic analysis to support PLC’s mandate to prioritize product capital investment Support the PLC’s Capital-expenditure approval process by building a framework that streamlines the process while addressing core questions when evaluating requests: Is this proposal complete, and does it exceed minimum hurdle rates? Do we have the funds to invest in this product now? How attractive is this product compared with others? Coordinate regular Product Review Meetings (deep dives) into TELUS Health’s product performance to identify risks and opportunities across marketing, product, and customer landscape; work closely with Product Teams to prepare, advise and structure PRM materials, vetting and finalizing before VP review Work with product teams to build multi-year business cases for capital investment by estimating costs and benefits, understanding cross-functional impacts and working with stakeholders to validate estimates Research industry leading trends and best practices in portfolio and capital management, product management to drive and develop insights and recommendations to influence strategic decisions and tactical planning Qualifications What YOU Bring… Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to manage multiple product lines in an oversight capacity and potentially business partners Computer proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office applications especially in Excel and PowerPoint; specific proficiency in developing cogent, crisp and c-suite level stories through PowerPoint supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis Strategic, business and financial acumen, including experience using financial modelling techniques to create sound business cases Effective communication and presentation skills required to effectively communicate to superiors, direct reports, peers and cross-functional groups Required Professional Designation/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science fields Required Experience: 8-10 years minimum related business experience in either consulting, corporate strategy or product management fields Demonstrated experience with a proven track record as an effective manager with strong leadership and personal selling capabilities Proven expertise with strategic assessments, including analysis of economics, capabilities and value chains and business models Assets: Masters of Business Administration (MBA) 1 year of direct personnel management experience 2-3 years of healthcare or healthcare technology experience Formal training on statistical analysis, forecasting and similar analytical tools Where We Are Looking… Toronto and Vancouver What YOU Get… Great pay, profit sharing bonus, stock purchase plan, dedication to team engagement; career development and after-hour educational assistance, flexible benefit plan with many innovative options and programs, DC Pension, flexible work styles, and more
